Burgess Meredith as a meek, little man who's only dream was to have the time to read all the books in the library. The unthinkable happens: a nuclear war that wipes out everyone and everything but this little man and his library full of books.
The twist? He steps on his glasses.

ohmigosh, I remember that episode. The ending was so horrifying. I didn't know that it was Burgess Meredith, though! I guess we should be careful what we wish for!
